Although born in the San Francisco bay area, Dylan has been raised in Nashville, TN, aka "Music City." He comes from a long line of musicians following his father's and grandfathers' footsteps. Dylan began playing bass at the age of 13. He studied with notable players Reggie Wooten and Shane Roberts. He attended the Nashville School of the Arts where he was allowed to focus on his craft. By13 Dylan was booking bands into Nashville clubs and positioning his own band to open up for acts such as The Plain White T's.
At 15 he joined Covington, an edgy, emo band, that created a lot of buzz in the southeast. They recorded a CD at Blue Meanie Studio in Nashville. At 16 he spent the summer in an RV touring the Eastern half of the US to support their newly released CD.
By 18 he was in an upcoming band called The Hollywood Kills, opening for bands such as Fall out Boy and Cake. They drew the attention of some major labels one of which sent the band into the studio to begin recording a record with Producer, Nick Travisik (Paramore). But, just before signing on the dotted line, Dylan was asked to fly out to CA to audition as the new bass player for Epitaph's The Matches in July of '08. He was offered and accepted the job and was immediately off on a headlining tour of Australia and a fall US tour.
Not only is he a great songwriter, but also plays bass, guitar, and is a respected drummer in Nashville. This is just the beginning for this young, ultra talented musician/songwriter. Check him out with The Matches.com!
